GDS recently installed a temperature controlled Triaxial Testing System (ETAS) at the University of Nazarbayev, School Of Engineering and Digital Sciences in Kazakhstan.
Capable of confining pressures up to 4MPa and of controlling specimen temperature from -20oC to 65oC, this system will be used to test soil-cement samples for soil stabilization research. In addition to the ETAS, GDS also commissioned and provided training on a full bender element system comprised of both vertical and horizontal bender elements for the determination of small strain shear module.
