Klohn Crippen Berger used GDS' EMDCSS device as part of the laboratory testing program for Fundao Mine Tailings Dam Failure

As part of the advance laboratory testing program for Fundao Mine Tailings Dam Failure, KCB’s Vancouver Geotechnical Laboratory used GDS Instruments' EMDSS device to perform direct simple shear tests in order to obtain undrained peak and large strain shear strengths on monotonic simple direct shear tests; undrained response to cyclic loading on cyclic simple shear tests; and undrained response to cyclic loading on cyclic simple shear test with static bias.
