Indian Institute of Science is India's premier research institute for science and engineering research. They purchased GDS' Hollow Cylinder Torsional Testing apparatus to help Tejas Murthy's research team when studying the complex behaviour of geomaterials from soft rocks to sands.

GDS have expanded their support team following the arrival of Diogo Teles. Diogo is a Geologist with a degree in Applied Geology, specialising in Engineering Geology, with a focus on soil and rock strength testing and geotechnical investigation.

GDS Instruments has released a new advanced soil testing system that was initially developed to better understand the dynamic response of infrastructure in a growing sector of the wind energy market but which the company believes will have wider benefit.
