GDS users may remember that GDS helpsheets, prepared
as a booklet, have always been a part of the technical support available
to GDS users. To allow you to have access
to all of the latest GDS helpsheets, we now have GDS
helpsheets available to download. Below is a
comprehensive list of all the GDS helpsheets from the
very beginning (1980!) to the very latest in advice and
information. All the helpsheets may be downloaded as
Adobe Acrobat Reader (*.pdf) format. To download your

The purpose of these helpsheets is to bring your
attention to some very important general and particular
features of GDS systems. These include the all important
Troubleshooting
and Faultfinding (26kb pdf) procedures, the
mysteries of connections to mains power supplies (see
Helpsheet #10), and the fundamental consideration at the
heart of all scientific observations - the accuracy and
resolution of systems measurement and control (see
Helpsheet #25). There are also a number of helpsheets
