Karl is a civil engineering graduate (1994) and completed his MSc. in geotechnical engineering at the University of Surrey in December 2000. His dissertation entitled "The Development of the Continuous Surface Wave Method as an Aid To Highway Quality Control" was based on the development of the GDS CSWS system.

As General Manager of GDS, he is mainly involved in it's day to day running.  He continues to have involvement in the development of our range of Windows based laboratory software (GDSLAB), system development, installations, technical support, customer training and the GDS website.  Karl has been working for GDS since 1996.
