Bruce is the founder of GDS Instruments. He is an international figure in the world of geotechnical engineering and the author of many books and papers, including the 'short course' series.

"A short course in Geotechnical Site Investigation" won the 2002 BGA prize. Bruce often represents GDS at international conferences and exhibitions.
